In preparation for the Oakham Christmas Lights Switch On, Oakham Town Council has released information about road closures for the event. 

On Sunday 24th November between 8am and 8pm, all vehicles will be prohibited from Market Place. This will include all parking and driving along this length of road.

Reasonable adjustment will be made to allow access to nearby premises during this time, but the road will be closed to the public.  

Christmas lights will be switched on at 4pm, with fair rides in the Market Square between 3pm and 5pm. 

The Light Switch On will follow an event taking place in Oakham that day. A Christmas Craft and Gift Fair is planned for Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th November between 11am and 3pm. This will include stalls in the Wisteria Hotel and Victoria Hall.
