Rutland and Stamford Sound ask listeners to fill out survey in bid for FM license
By Grace Kennington 11th Jun 2026
Rutland and Stamford Sound have launched a survey to help the radio station understand the views of listeners and move towards the next chapter in the station's development.
Rutland and Stamford Sound is a not-for-profit station that broadcasts across the local area on DAB+ digital radio, online and via their app.
The station is run by local legend Rob Persani and a dedicated team of volunteer presenters and supporters that are proud to connect, champion and celebrate the local area.
The station relies on funding, donation, advertisers and fundraising activities and recently embarked on a tour of the area to celebrate their 5th birthday, with other 100 residents and community groups joining them on their birthday broadcast.
Now, Rob and the team are launching a survey to gather feedback from their listeners that they will then use for future funding applications and their bid to gain an FM license.
Business Development Officer Angela Wilson said: 'We would love to hear from everyone – listeners and non-listeners- to find out what we can to do improve our work.
'Feedback gathered through the listener survey will support us with funding applications and our bid for FM coverage which has been gathering momentum.'
The survey will remain open until 26th June and there is an opportunity to win a smart speaker just by taking part. To complete the survey, click here.
