Rutland Community First Responders log 587 hours in July

The Rutland First Responders logged an impressive 587 hours of responding time in July, the team attending to a range of cases across the county.

The Rutland Community First Responders are volunteers who give their time freely to help save lives in their community. Responders are everyday members of the general public who are trained in the use of Automated External Defibrillators and the treatment and control of a wide range of potentially life threatening conditions.

As a part of their commendable 587 hours undertaken last month, the team attended 97 patients and undertook attended 27.5 hours on training and other essential admin to maintain smooth operations.

Calls included:

  • falls
  • abdominal pains
  • chest pains
  • DIB
  • breaks and dislocations
  • pregnancy complications
  • strokes
  • seizures
  • cardiac arrests

The team said that they "kept busy", and will continue to take care of the community 24/7.
