Rutland County Council is consulting on their 2025 to 2030 Housing, Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy, where the public are welcomed to review and respond to their planned policy.

The strategy focusses on several different aspects, including:

  • Preventing homelessness by providing housing options, advice and assistance,
  • Providing targeted support for vulnerable households by working with partner organisations to see that they are getting the help or advice they need,
  • Ensuring sustainable growth by delivering the housing growth that is needed in all sectors under the Local Plan, including building at least 40 affordable homes a year,

Ensuring existing homes are fit-for-purpose by making sure there are adequate safe, warm, occupied homes with the adaptation people need.

The whole strategy is outlined in the Housing, Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Scheme document or via Rutland County Council's website

Feedback on this consultation can be given to the council via this online form.
