In June 2022, Rutland County Council sent letters offering assistance to all of the Rutland residents who needed help to move their bins prior to emptying.
However, out of 720 letters sent, only 320 replied.
Rutland County Council subsequently sent out reminders in August 2022, and are still yet to hear back from a great number of Rutland residents who may require assistance.
If residents still want assistance, but have not yet contacted Rutland County Council, they should phone 01572 722577 as soon as they have the opportunity so as not to miss out on this opportunity to receive support and assistance.
Councillor Raymond Payne said: "I suspect that this group of residents are some of our more elderly and vulnerable members of our community and so I would ask that if anyone thinks that their neighbour might be in this group perhaps they could ask them if they require this service."
Are you entitled to this service but are still yet to respond?
