Rutland County Council is 'spreading some festive cheer' this December by offering free bus travel for all passengers on Saturday 13 and Saturday 20 December.

They hope these free travel days will make it easier for residents to shop locally and support local businesses during the festive period, by making it easier and more affordable to visit Rutland's shops, restaurants and attractions.

There will also be a free shopper bus service running to two popular local shopping destinations.

On Saturday 13 December, the shopper bus will run to Peterborough and on Saturday 20 December, go to Nottingham.

The timetables for these free busses can be found at bus stops along the shopper bus route or on the Rutland County Council website.

Additionally, there will be free parking in public, council-run carparks on Saturday 6 December and in Oakham from 3pm on 15 December to support the Late Night Shopping Event.
