Rutland County Museum in Oakham is holding a special exhibition called 'VE Day 80: Stories from the Collection' to mark the 80th Anniversary since the Second World War ended in Europe.

The exhibition features recent World War Two acquisitions, as well as items that are not on permanent display. The items will explore Rutland's historic links to the Royal Navy and a fascinating collection relating to a local Prisoner of War.

The exhibition will run from Saturday 3rd May to Saturday 14th at Rutland County Museum, which is open Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, between 10am and 4pm.
