Rutland Musical Theatre (RMT) have announced the cast for their upcoming production of 'Avenue Q'.

Following their sell-out performances of 'Kinky Boots' at The Corby Cube in April, RMT have announced that they will be staging 'Avenue O' and 'The Addams Family: A Comedy Musical' as their next two shows.

'Avenue O' will take place in August at Rutland Showground, and 'The Addams Family' in April at The Cube. Read more here.

After holding auditions last week, the creative team have announced the small cast for their August production:

The part of 'Christmas Eve' is still to be filled.

Part flesh, part felt and packed with heart, Avenue Q is the laugh-out-loud musical that tells the timeless story of a bright-eyed college grad named Princeton. When he arrives in the city with big dreams and a tiny bank account, he has to move into a shabby apartment all the way out on AVENUE Q. Still, the neighbours seem nice.

There, he meets Kate (the girl next door), Lucy (the sl*t), Rod (the Republican), Trekkie (the internet entrepreneur), superintendent Gary Coleman (yes, that Gary Coleman) and other new friends! Together, they struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever-elusive purpose in life.

This production will take place at Rutland Showground on Wednesday 30 August.

Book tickets online.
