Costa Coffee will be opening another branch in Rutland this year.

The new store will open on the A1 in Stretton as a part of the development replacing the current Ram Jam services.

The restaurant brand Wendy's are also set to open at the services on the A1, between Greetham and Clipsham.

The site is being developed by Godwin Developments, who first submitted the planning application in 2019. This was accepted in 2020. It was then announced in early 2022 that Loungers' Brightside brand would be taking the largest unit in the development.

Most recently, Costa Coffee and Wendy's confirmed their presence at this roadside retail development. Costa Coffee has taken a 1,788 sq. ft. unit whilst Wendy's, via its franchisee Blank Table Ltd, has signed up to 3,305 sq. ft.

This follows the development of another drive-thru Costa, which opened on Oakham's Lands' End Way in September 2022, less than 1 mile from the already established branch of the global brand on Church Street, near Oakham market place.
