Ride and Stride Rutland will be returning after a break in 2024 to raise funds for helping to preserve the historic church buildings across the county.

Ride and Stride takes place nationally and will be taking place in Rutland this year on Saturday 13th September.

In 2023, Ride and Stride Rutland raised £21,120 and hopes to continue this incredible fundraising this year.

Those participating in the Ride or Stride will try to visit as many churches as possible, using their chosen mode of transport. Although most people opt to walk or cycle, horse riders, unicyclists, roller skaters, three legged racers and any wanting to use a more unusual mode of transport are welcome to join in.

For participants that have mobility issues, they may be driven between locations but must reach the church doors under their own steam.

If participants wish to be in with a chance of winning a prize, they must get their form signed by a designated recorder in each participating church they visit between 10am and 6pm on Saturday 13th September.

For those wishing to take part, you can sign up on the Rutland Ride and Stride website and for updates, follow the Ride and Stride Rutland Facebook Page
