Rutland MP Alicia Kearns has reported a second campaign success of the week.

Today, the MP said on Facebook: "I'm delighted to announce that every hospital in England is finally allowing pregnant women to have their partner at their side.

"Over the past eight months, since local mums to be came to me for help, I've fought NHS Trusts across England one at a time to change their policies, with the Mail on Sunday backing my campaign with Pregnant Then Screwed and Birth Better.

"Thank you to all the brave women and their partners who shared their experiences with me, the campaigners and the Health Secretary Matt Hancock and Prime Minister Boris Johnson who backed my campaign to make NHS Trusts follow Government guidance from the start."

Today's Mail on Sunday story on the issue can be found here.

Details of the campaign and its progress can be found here.

Earlier in the week, Alicia Kearns reported success with her campaign to end gay conversion therapy, after the government announced measures to ban it, in the Queen's speech, as reported by Nub News.

The MP has spoken out against the practice many times and led the campaign in Parliament to secure a ban on the practice since her election in 2019.

On Tuesday afternoon, Mrs Kearns said: "Today I won that fight, when the Queen announced that our Government will bring forward a ban."
