A local pub is dishing out hundreds to local winners at its weekly Bingo Night.

The Plough Inn in Greetham is giving locals the chance to win big - and have some rip roaring fun with fellow patrons and the friendly team - at weekly Bingo, which is now taking place at an earlier time every Tuesday.

The Plough, a pet and family-friendly pub in the heart of Greetham, is a lively community hub, and hosts a weekly quiz, meal deals and much more.

Following staff illness, Landlord Peter Ling made the tough call to close the pub on Wednesday evenings, meaning that Bingo was off the menu over Christmas.

However, it was back with a bang on Tuesday nights in January 2024 and, following much demand from locals, will now be taking place at the earlier time of 7pm.

Set to take place every Tuesday going forward, attendees can be in with the chance of winning cash prizes, a butchers round and much more.

Peter said: "Plough Bingo is back and even better! Not only do we have the cash prizes and flyer that everyone loved, we have now introduced a butchers round. The final full house on the main game will see the winner take away butchers box to the value of £45.00, and all of the meat, pies and more in the box is, of course, supplied by our trusted and award winning butcher Owen Taylor & Son."

The also team get the meat served at the pub from Owen Taylor & Son, so if you fancy a taste before the main event, you can book a table and enjoy a hearty dinner from their main menu.

Bingo not your thing? How about the weekly quiz on a Thursday?

Peter added: "Quiz night remains on a Thursday evening, but after requests from some of our customers, it will start from an earlier time of 8pm. Also back is the light supper during the interval - something we had to stop when the dreaded covid struck, all this and its still only £1 per person to enter!"

As well as their regular meal deals, games, live music and much more, this week The Plough will be featuring a different guest pie every night until 10 March - with the pies supplied by award winning master butcher Owen Taylor & Son.

"British Pie Week is running next week, to celebrate we are extending our already popular pie night over the whole week (except Sundays) and even better all our pie meals - pie, chunky chips or mash, seasonal vegetables or mushy peas plus our rich gravy - will be available buy one get one for just £2.95," the team said.

"All our meat pies will be supplied by our award winning butchers Owen Taylor & Son.

"These guys are the only supplier we use for our meat products and have been with us from day one when we opened nearly five years ago.

"Every day we will be featuring a different guest pie and announcing it on our social media the day before. Many of these pies have won numerous awards."
