A whole weekend of fun is in store at the Grainstore Brewery Tap this May as a popular annual festival returns.

The Sausage & Cider Festival will be held from Thursday 21 to Monday 25 May, with over 40 ciders, local produce and live music on offer.

The 2026 edition is the 14th annual Sausage & Cider Festival but the first time it has been hosted by Richard and Andrea Moore since they took over at The Grainstore in November.

Andrea told Nub News: "We are majorly excited!

"We have done festivals at our previous pubs and had our first festival earlier this year - The Spring Festival - which went so well.

"This is our second big one here and then we have an even bigger one in August on the bank holiday which will be our massive Beer Festival."

All the festival ciders will be available at The Grainstore from Thursday 21 May, with the event really getting underway on Friday night with live music from Risky Trick from 8.30pm.

Chris Poole and Hash Tags will then provide more entertainment on the Saturday afternoon and evening with CJ Hatt and the open mic night coming on the Sunday.

Dazed and Confused will then round off the weekend with their set on Monday 25 May at 3pm.

"It is all about supporting local, your local bar, local bands, local food," Andrea added.

"And we want everyone to come down, enjoy themselves and have fun.

"Come down, let your hair down, have a dance and have fun."

The barbecue will run across the weekend, with the locally crafted sausages - including their own pork and ale - on offer throughout.

The range of 40 ciders on offer will also include a real mix including various fruit, apple, cloudy, and scrumpy offerings, as well as a range of percentages and even some "wild" options including blood orange and pornstar martini.

And while the team are hoping for a sunny bank holiday weekend, the marquee is on standby in case it does rain, meaning the festival will be a great few days regardless of the weather.

"The festival has been running for many years now and this is the first under our ownership," Andrea added.

"The last one went really well.

"There is something for everyone.

"With the barbecue and live music throughout, the Sausage & Cider festival will be relaxed and chilled during the day and be vibrant and fun each evening as the party goers join in!

"Make sure you don't miss out."
