Open Garden

Locals will be given the chance to explore the gardens of a historic local house this weekend.

Old Hall in Market Overton is throwing open its gates on Sunday (April 24) as part of the National Open Garden Scheme.

For just £7, guests are invited to come and explore the "lovely garden" at the grade II listed buidling and even get themselves to a sweet treat courtesy of Hambleton Bakery.

Proceeds from the day will go to support local nursing and healthcare charities.

Craft Fair

Help raise funds for Save the Children this weekend at the Craft & Gift Fair.

Browse a wide selection of crafts and gifts not found in the high street on Saturday (April 25).

The free event will be held at Welland Vale Garden Centre.

Pork Pie Appreciation

This Sundays sees the return of The Rutland, Pork Pie Appreciation Society to the Grainstore Brewery Tap

"Feel free to give making your own Pork Pie and enter it in for the tasting session or come along and try the offerings all while supporting a great charity," organisers said.

"All donations will go towards helping raise the £60 target for EMICS."

EMICS is the East Midland Immediate Care Scheme which is a network of volunteer doctors with specialist training in pre-hospital emergency medicine who assist East Midlands Ambulance Service.
