There's loads going on this weekend with a host of events taking place in and around Oakham and Rutland this weekend, from circus at Gates Garden Centre and champagne and oysters at Rutland Hall hotel to a bio-diversity survey at a church in Ryhall.

Cirquoise at Gates Garden Centre
If you aren't sure how to keep the kids entertained this school holiday or if you're looking for a fun day out for the big kids in your life, why not take a trip to Gates Garden Centre for the fantastic return of Cirquoise.
This thrilling, awe-inspiring, high energy family circus has become a local staple in the school holidays, setting up the Big Top for two weeks at Gates.
From a Cirquoise performance, you can expect a contemporary family circus experience with a full ensemble of talented performers with unique skills and jaw-dropping stunts.
Every show includes a blend of hilarious clowning, death defying acrobatics and brand new acts such as Cirque du Soleil performer Roberto Carlos the Mexican juggler.
The shows start at 11am on Thursday 30 July and run until Sunday 16 August, with each show running an hour long.

Oysters and Champagne on the Terrace at Rutland Hall Hotel
On Friday 31 July, Rutland Hall Hotel are hosting 'an elegant evening of freshly shucked oysters, chilled champagne and live acoustic music on Blossom's lakeside terrace overlooking Rutland Water.'
This summer evening event will take place from 5pm to 7pm and costs £45 per person.
D'Ukes of Rutland Performance at Oakham Castle
The D'Ukes of Rutland are performing this Saturday 1 August at Oakham Castle for their summer concert.
The ukulele concert will take place from 1.30pm to 2.30pm and is free to attend.
The event promises to be a fun hour of sing along with any donations going to Friends of Oakham Castle.

Biodiversity Survey at St John's Churchyard, Ryhall
St John's Church is running a biodiversity survey this Saturday and is inviting wildlife fans to join them.
This is a great summer holiday activity to connect with nature away from screens and refreshments will be provided.
Any children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
