Kids Book Sale

Oakham Library are holding a kid's book sale on Thursday 6 August between 9am to 4pm.

This is a cash-only sale of bargain ex-library withdrawn children's stock and will be a mixture of fiction, non-fiction, picture books and audio books.

Drop by to grab a bargain.

Outdoor Theatre at Whitwell Point

What better way to spend the school holidays than enjoying a lively performance by Pantaloons Theatre.

This week, they will be performing Sherlock Homes and the Hounds of the Baskervilles on 7 August and Pinocchio on Saturday 8 August.

Tea and Tour at Oakham Castle

This Saturday 8 August, enjoy tea and a tour of historic Oakham, exploring the streets, meeting fascinating characters and discovering hidden stories.

The tour costs £14 per person. To take part, meet at Oakham Castle at 10.30am with the tour starting at 11am.

Space and Stars Family Planetarium Show at Rutland County Museum

This summer, Explorer Dome brings its bestselling pop-up planetarium to Rutland County Museum. Crawl through the tunnel and step inside to explore planets, stars, galaxies, black holes, constellations and incredible space stories.

This is a one day event on Wednesday 12 August.
