Discover Rutland Weekend 2026

As part of English Tourism Week, Discover Rutland Weekend is time to discover all the things that make our tiny county so special.

This county-wide celebration brings together local attractions, shops, food and drink venues with local experiences, creating a series of special offers and activities to showcase the best Rutland has to offer.

The festivities include a gin experience at Mallard Point, Wedding showcase at Oakham Castle, Afternoon tea at The Barnsdale, tours of Grainstore Brewery, Rutland-themed drinks at The Olive Branch and much, much more.

Rutland Food and Drink Festival

This Sunday 22 March, Rutland Food and Drink Festival is taking place in Oakham Town Centre, with stalls inside The Wisteria and Oakham Castle and in the Castle Grounds and Market Place.

There will be stalls selling lots of local food and drink, as well as hand-made crafts and gifts.

This event is family and dog-friendly and will also include live music.

Mayor of Uppingham's Grand Variety Show

On Saturday 21 March from 7.30pm, enjoy a cheese and wine throughout a cabaret-inspired show featuring dancing, singing, musical theatre and comedy.

The Grand Variety Show will raise funds for Youth Space and the Uppingham and District Twinning Association.
