A local pub has received top reviews on TripAdvisor for a 'fantastic Sunday roast'.

The Fox and Hounds is a cosy local pub located in the heart of Knossington, promising character surroundings and top-quality food from local farmers and producers.

Landlord, Rangel Gadzhonov, has been working hard to build up the reputation of the historic venue, and his new meal and drinks offers, monthly events and dedicated team have seen results, receiving glowing reviews on TripAdvisor.

Their Sunday roasts have also gone down a storm, and certainly aren't being 'roasted' by customers.

A recent Tripadvisor review said: "Lovely place, clean and tidy. Fantastic food and value for money.

"The pub has a spacious outside seating area which is newly done and well put together. Staff are very attentive and the manager Rangel looked after us extremely well.

"Would definitely return and recommend."

Another review of the venue praised the staff, management and "fabulous" food: "What with lock down, pandemics and the like it must be three years since we were last here and it was SO good to return to this wonderfully English pub. We had a good reception, even though we were the last booking for Sunday lunch at the late hour of 5pm.

"Fabulous food, made even better by the invitation to stay for the quiz evening, and we had a great time in a very packed warren of rooms. Coming third by only a few points, the five of us just missed out on the £50 prize, but it didn't matter as we had a super meal and a fun evening. Friendly, helpful staff and how we wished we all lived nearer as this is a super venue and the [newish] management are certainly going out of their way to please their customers."

On top of embracing top reviews, since his return, Rangel has been making big changes to the venue, including introducing longer opening hours, hosting family events and welcoming new offers to get the tastebuds, and your wallets, tingling.

Offers include steak night Wednesdays, £3 Atlantic Pale Ale, Tuesday night discounted drinks and their Thursday night meal deal.

Last month, The Fox and Hounds also launched its first ever fish and chip takeaway evening. This Friday, the team will be offering a £6 deal on all fish and chip takeaway orders.
