The Angler, formerly the popular restaurant, Orbis Oakham, will be opening its doors on Saturday the 26th of October 2022 - and some exciting new additions are on the menu!

In a social media post shared on Tuesday the 20th of September, Orbis owner and manager Jonathan Spencer shared that, after struggling through a financially challenging time with the rising cost of living, Orbis would undergo rebranding to become The Angler, a 'pub for the people'.

The venue has been shut since then, but is scheduled to re open on the 26th, where curious locals and returning regulars will have the opportunity to view the revamped venue for the first time.

On their opening night, the team will be hosting a soft opening event from 6pm and handing out free pizza to all who turn up. The evening requires no reservations, so be sure to get there early!

The team have also shared their exciting plans to introduce a carvery option to the menu, which already promises pizza, steak, and some Orbis classics that have survived the rebranding.

They posted on their social media: "Let's talk about roasts! Starting this November we will be bringing you the only Carvery in town. There are a few final details to be confirmed and will be able to give you a price, rest assured, we will be making it as affordable as possible."
