The Hub at Rutland Point, which opened in December 2024 and announced its expansion in April 2025, has been shortlisted as a finalist for 'Best New Start-Up Business' at the Mercury Business Awards 2025. 

The Hub at Rutland Point is situated in Morcott, just outside Oakham, and is an artisan coffee shop by day and vibrant restaurant and bar by night.  

In the eight months since opening, The Hub has gone from strength to strength, hosting community markets, expanding their menu to offer more delicious food, and moving into a larger space to accommodate their growing business. 

Sharing the news of their shortlisting on Facebook, Dan, Joe and the Hub team said: "We're beyond delighted and incredibly proud to share that The Hub at Rutland Point has been announced as a finalist for 'Best New Start-Up Business' at the Mercury Business Awards 2025. 

"This wouldn't have been possible without the amazing support of our wonderful guests, our brilliant local suppliers, and the fantastic local businesses we've had the pleasure for working with to help make The Hub a true 'Hub of Activity' here in Rutland.
