Two men charged for drug dealing after stop and search in Uppingham

Two men that were stopped and searched in Uppingham have been charged with the possession of drugs with the intent to distribute.
Rutland Police stopped a vehicle on Braunston Road in Uppingham and carried out a search where a man was searched and found to have drugs on his person.
Police then went on to search his home address where more deugs were found and a second man was arrested.
25-year-old Ronaldo Cani of King Street, Leicester, was charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
Xhezar Cani from Dairy Way, Kibworth Harcourt was charged with possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.
Cani and Cani both appeared at Leicester Magistrates Court on Monday 8 December, where Ronaldo pleaded guilty and Xhezar did not enter a plea.
Both have been remanded in custody until their sentencing on 26 January 2026.
