Victoria Hall seeking new tenants as Oakham Town Council move out

Oakham's Victoria Hall is urgently seeking new tenants to take up the office space being vacated by the town council.

Oakham Town Council will be moving out of two offices in the High Street building by the end of May 2020 and the hall's trustees are now actively looking to replace them.

A group of volunteer trustees manage and maintain the upkeep of Grade II listed Victoria Hall and are charged with ensuring that sufficient income is generated to enable the premises to operate as the community hall as well as a meetings, activities and events venue for the people of Rutland.

To enable them to continue to do so it is now their 'urgent duty' to find a new tenant.

The accommodation - suitable for either offices or retail - comprises two rooms with an interconnecting door and these can be rented together or separately.

One room is 367 sqft and the other 325 sqft and both will be given a full make-over and redecoration.

All mains services will be included in the rent and flexible options are available on the length of the tenancy.

Victoria Hall was originally built in 1858 when it was known as the Agricultural Hall. Since 1899 the freehold has been held by The Board of Charity Commissioners for England and Wales who approved the building to become a registered charity and be known as the Victoria Hall, to commemorate The Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria.

For more details about the rental space opportunities at the Victoria Hall email [email protected] or call 01572 722496 for more information.
