Solo Art Exhibition by Andrea Naylor at Stamford Arts Centre
Rutland-based artist, teacher and demonstrator Andrea Naylor opened her solo exhibition Precision to Passion at Stamford Art Centre to run between 2nd and 30th June.
According to Andrea: "This collection marks an exciting evolution in my artistic journey, inviting you to experience the emotion in my artistic journey, inviting you to experience the emotion and spontaneity behind each piece as a morph from Precision to Passion!"

Manton Open Gardens
Five homes in Manton, a village on the South shore of Rutland Water, will be opening their beautiful gardens to the public as part of the National Open Gardens Scheme. The five properties are:
- 22 Lyndon Road: A beautiful combination of cottage garden and unusual plants in overflowing borders, hanging baskets and decorative pots.
- Manton Lodge: Steeply sloping garden with wonderful views and colourful beds of shrubs, roses and perennials, with ornamental pond and terrace.
- Shapinsay: garden with mature trees and framed views, perennial borders, island shrub borders and stream linking numerous ponds.
- Manor Barn (New): Converted barn with distinct areas, abundantly planted sunken courtyard with well.
- 3 St. Mary's Road: Tiny cottage garden wrapped around pretty brick cottage.
These open gardens being offering refreshments raising money for the village hall and St Mary's in Manton. They will be open between 1pm and 5pm.

An Evening of Rocking Blues with Smokestack Blues Band
On Saturday 7th June from 7.30pm, Smokestack Blues Band will be performing at Cottesmore Village Hall to raise money for village hall funds.

Stapleford Family Fun Day Out and Dog Show
Stapleford Doggy Daycare are holding a fun-filled family day with various stalls, delicious food tricks and activities for everyone. There will also be a fun dog show with 10 different categories, allowing every pooch to showcase their charm.
Entry is £1 for adults and kids - dogs can come along for free but must be kept on leads at all times. Entries for the dog show are available to book online but spaces are limited. Each dog show class costs £2 to enter.

Thursday Night Dinner at Fox and Hounds

The team at The Fox & Hounds in Knossington be hosting their weekly Thursday night special on Thursday 5th June. This week they are serving up Noah's Pit Smoked BBQ pork ribs (half a rack) with Cajun spiced potato wedges and coconut chilli slaw OR Wild mushroom and smoked chicken risotto, smoked bacon and parmesan rouille.
