Rugby World Cup
This month, local bars and sports venues will be screening all rugby world cup games.

Join the fun at The Fox and Hounds in Knossington, The Plough in Greetham and other local pubs and bars.
Alternatively, get a feel for the game in Oakham's favourite sports bar, The Crown Tavern on Crown Walk, where landlady Lindsay is happy for customers to bring their own food - just be sure to grab a Guinness at the bar to enjoy with the exhilarating games!
Thursday Night Dinner at The Fox and Hounds
On Thursday, 21 September, The Fox and Hounds in Knossington are hosting another £12 meal deal offer and will be serving a warming bowl of lamb stew and dumplings.

Greetham Gathering
The last Greetham Gathering of the season will see a range of cars, bikes and unusual vehicles head to Greetham Community centre on Thursday 21 September.
The bar will be open and food and parking is available on site.
Join the fun from 4pm until dusk.
Plough Fest 2023
From Friday 22 until Sunday 24 September, The Plough in Greetham will be hosting their annual beer festival.
Musical acts will include the one and only Top Banana on Friday, and The Midnight City Disco Band featuring two lead vocalist from Greetham on Saturday. The Main act and closing the festival on Sunday will be all time Plough favourite Angie
The beer festival will feature beers such as Ay Up, Orb of Destiny, Beaters Blonde, plus of course some local beers from The Grainstore Brewery in Oakham and Milestone Brewery based out of Newark.
For the Rugby fans, the festival marquee will be set up with a huge outdoor screen, and all of the Rugby World Cup games will be playing during the festival, with the England game on Saturday having uninterrupted coverage.
Food will also be available across the weekend, and kids can enjoy the pub's animal corner.
Things kick off at 4pm on Friday, and festivities will continue until Sunday evening.
Rutland Food & Drink Festival
On Sunday 24 September, the Rutland Food and Drink Festival, organised by Oakham and Rutland Events by Carolyn Acton-Reed, will be taking place in Oakham.
The semi-regular event hosts local sellers, creatives, crafters and business owners as they introduce Rutland residents and tourists to a range of seasonal, locally produced and hand and homemade food and drinks goods.
There will be:
- street food
- produce to take home
- soft drinks
- alcoholic beverages to enjoy on the day and to take home
- live music
Join the fun from 11am until 4pm.
