Kick your weekend off early this week with a range of events running from Thursday night until Sunday.

Festive Shopping at Rutland Nursery

Enjoy a wonderfully Christmassy evening of gift shopping at Rutland Nursery on Thursday the 17th of November 2022, 6pm - 8:30pm.

Matthew Hoggard will be on hand at Hoggy's Grill, onsite for winter BBQ demonstrations and canapés.

Tickets cost £3.95 and include a glass of mulled wine, a Multum Gin Parvo sloe gin hot toddy, a non-alcoholic mulled winter punch and delicious homemade mince pies!

Another Winter's Tale play

Taking place on Thursday the 17th of November 2022, Dogwood Productions are hosting Another Winter's Tale at Whissendine Village Hall. 

Two travelling entertainers, trapped after their latest show by a snow storm, pass the time waiting to leave by telling wintry stories accompanied by beautiful music, songs and puppetry. What could possibly be wrong? But why are they so keen to move on? who or what is following behind them?

The play begins at 7:30pm and is suitable for all ages 8+

Live Music at The Falcon Hotel

Just a short drive from Oakham, The Falcon Hotel in Uppingham are hosting live music on Friday the 18th of November 2022.

The traditional Irish band 'One Too Many' will be performing from 8pm in the Main Lounge.

Entry is free and the bar will be available.

Rutland Fairtrade Christmas Market

The annual Rutland Fairtrade Christmas Market returns to Oakham Castle on Saturday the 19th of November 2022 from 10am to 3pm.

With stalls offering a fabulous variety of Fairtrade and ethically traded products from around the world, the Market will be an ideal opportunity to stock up on gifts and foods in the run up to Christmas.

Charity Walking Football Match

On Sunday the 20th of November, watch Leicester Tiger's Droglites V Nottingham Forest Legends compete in a charity football match.

Kick Off is at 11am at Uppingham Town Football Club.

Lunch to follow at The Falcon Hotel costs £30 per person. It is advised to book to secure your place.
