There's loads going on this weekend with a host of events taking place in and around Oakham and Rutland this weekend, from pizza and prosecco to an exhibit on Rutland's incredible fossil finds and Swim Rutland.

Pizza and Prosecco Night at Easton Walled Gardens

On Thursday 31st July, Easton Walled Garden are joining forces with Griff's Pizza to serve up a fantastic night of pizza and prosecco in their beautiful Courtyard.

Enjoy the exclusive opportunity to explore the beautiful gardens in golden hour, before tucking into freshly cooked pizza and drinks.

This event costs £25 per adult, £20 per child or for a family of 2 adults and 2 children, £80.

221 Divorce Support

221 Divorce Support are a self-help for people struggling with the break-up of a marriage or long-term partnership.

Running monthly at Oakham Baptist Church on Friday 1st August from 5pm to 7pm, the group provides a safe, confidential space to get support and the chance to talk to people who have been through or are going through the same as you.

Swim Rutland 2025

Fancy taking a plunge into Rutland Water? It's not too late to join Swim Rutland 2025 to join a variety of distance races organised by PaceMaker events.

SwimRutland includes options to swim 500m, 2km, 4km and 8km. 

The organisers will be providing comprehensive safety support throughout the event, including kayaks, powerboats and stand-up paddleboards as well as medical support by Rutland Medical Solutions.

Jurassic Adventures and Roman Ruins at Rutland County Museum

From Friday 1st August, a state-of-the-art exhibit will take place at Rutland County Museum with immersive experiences and cutting edge technology to explore two of the region's most remarkable discoveries.

Discover the Rutland Sea Dragon like it has never been seen before with a VR Experience, including an interactive fossil dig.

There will also be a bold and imaginative 3D recreation of the Ketton Roman Mosiac, providing a new perspective on one of Britain's most important Roman finds.
