D'ukes of Rutland Ukule Club invite you a free and fun concert "D'ukes & Friends" in the Great Hall of Oakham Castle on Saturday 10th June at 1.30pm.

D'ukes & Friends will feature some ukulele favourites, including tunes from the 1920's to the 2020's, as well as some musical Friends of the band who will accompany them on other instruments.

As is their style, the D'ukes will perform songs taken from a range of musical styles not normally associated with the ukulele. Expect to hear their versions of songs first released by Cab Calloway, Pink Floyd, David Bowie and Stereophonics.

The D'ukes are providing this concert free of charge and encourage attendees to make a donation to the Friends of Oakham Castle in lieu of a ticket charge.

Sunday Funday at Rutland Farm Park

On Sunday 11 June, farms across the country will be open to the public to provide a bit of insight into the inner workings of one of the UK's oldest businesses - farming.

Since Rutland Farm Park are already open every Sunday, they are taking part in the nation-wide event by hosting a Sunday Funday!

The team said: "This Sunday is open farm Sunday, but as you know we're already open to the public! So because we are a working farm, we thought we'd join in the fun and have a Sunday Funday instead."

The farm and tea rooms will be open from 10am, and will play host to a range of activities including a treasure hunt, pony grooming, guine pig petting and more.

Visitors to the farm will also be able to drop by and see their new rare breed animals
