The team at Rutland Farm Park are hosting a Sunday Funday event this weekend.

Headed up by owners and hands-on managers Clive and Julie, the farm has been a top spot for grownups and children since it reopened in 2017 after being closed for over a decade.

It brags a range of attractions and features, including a café, play park, animal petting and feeding sessions, a selection of home and handmade and allergy-friendly goodies available at Daphne's tea room, holiday activities and a collection of rare breed animals.

And this weekend is no exception!

On Sunday 11 June, farms across the country will be open to the public to provide a bit of insight into the inner workings of one of the UK's oldest businesses - farming.

Since Rutland Farm Park are already open every Sunday, they are taking part in the nation-wide event by hosting a Sunday Funday!

The team said: "This Sunday is open farm Sunday, but as you know we're already open to the public! So because we are a working farm, we thought we'd join in the fun and have a Sunday Funday instead."

Visitors to the farm will be able to drop by and see their new rare breed animals, and much more.

They are also asking for visitors to feedback on their wooded area, which is next on the list as them team work through some impressive renovation works.

The team added: "Have a walk in our woodland area, but please note it has been left in its natural state - we want your ideas, what do you want to see or do down in the woods ?"

Daphne's tea room will also be open and serving Sunday specials, as well as their usual cakes, free range eggs and more.
