Rutland Open Art Exhibition
Arts for Rutland are opening their Open Art Exhibition for Summer 2025 in Rutland County Museum.
Pieces from artist from Rutland and the surrounding counties will be on display in Rutland County Museum from Saturday 12th July to Saturday 9th August.
Pieces vary from pencil sketches to ceramics, glass scupltures to oil paintings and all will be available for sale during the exhibition.

Take a relaxing visit to Old Oak Farm in Preston, near Uppingham, this weekend to enjoy a delicious English Tea, with scones and homemade jam, a pot of tea, and a beautiful posy of homegrown sweet peas to take home,

Thursday Night Dinner at Fox and Hounds

The team at The Fox & Hounds in Knossington be hosting their weekly Thursday night special on 10th July. This week they are serving up pulled pork barbecue beef with mac and cheese with garlic bread or chicken and smoky bacon chasseur with garlic fried potatoes and crunchy dressed salad.

The Mikado at Stamford Arts Centre

Forbear! Theatre company are bringing their Terry Pratchett-inspired reimagining of The Mikado before it goes across the pond to New York.
A wandering minstrel agrees to die at the hands of the Lord High Executioner in exchange for one month of marriage to the love of his life. However, when he reveals his secret past to his new companions, there begins a desperate and hilarious battle to save themselves from being boiled alive. Minimal changes have been made to the text in bringing this Fantasy kingdom to life, with the same madcap characters, plot and iconic songs that have been loved for generations.
