Jenny Eclair 'Jokes, Jokes, Jokes' Live at Stamford Corn Exchange

Celebrating the launch of her memoir, comedian Jenny Eclair is touring the country with her new auto-biographical show.

The show talks about everything, 'from drama school, (mostly drinking cider and eating sausage rolls), sleeping with men who looked like they lived under a carpet, punk poetry, anorexia, bedsit misery, waitressing and not really having a clue about anything, to being the first woman to win the Perrier Award, becoming a mother, author, grumpy old woman, podcaster and nana!'

The show will take place at Stamford Corn Exchange Theatre on Thursday 20 November.

'No More Xmas Angst - an interactive workshop' at Rutland Nursery

The most wonderful time of the year can also be the most stressful time of the year, with LOTS of time with family, financial pressures, constant consumption and rushing around.

Join inner child healing experts Andrew Lynn and Lavinia Brown to learn how to ensure Christmas and New Year come back free of angst with this half-day interactive workshop.

The Jersey Quartet Christmas Tribute Night at Rutland Hall Hotel

Step into the festive season with West End stars The Jersey Quartet performing the hits of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, along with festive classics.

On Saturday 22 November, enjoy a delicious two-course dinner surrounded by twinkling Christmas lights before taking to the dancefloor for a disco.

Oakham Christmas Light Switch On

Oakham Town Council are putting on Oakham Christmas Lights Switch On and Market from 12 noon to 5pm on Sunday 23 November.

There will be stalls along High Street, Market Place and Mill Street.

Stilt walkers and fire performers will be making an appearance along with special guests Santa with the Rutland Lions and Filbert the Fox from Leicester City.

There will be performances from Sing Out Rutland Choir.

The Lights will be switched on at 4.30pm by the winners of Oakham Town Council's Key Stage 1 and 2 drawing competition.
