There's loads going on this weekend with a host of events taking place in and around Oakham and Rutland this weekend.

Cheer Upp! at Uppingham Theatre

Performing only Thursday and Friday evening, Cheer Upp! is a comedy show written by Rutland's own Henry Dawe.

Raising money for the Rutland Music Video Project, Cheer Upp! is an evening of radio-style entertainment featuring sketches and solo acts by local performers.

Shows are free to attend but, as they are raising money for the music video, cash donations would be much appriciated. Tickets are available from the wegottickets website with doors opening at 7pm and the show starting at 7.30pm.

Pumpkin Carving at Rutland Farm Park

Whether you're trying to keep the kids entertained this half-term or wanting to get into the spooky spirit yourself, pumpkin carving at Rutland Farm Park is a great activity for all ages and abilities.

This event will run Friday 25th October at 11pm and 2pm with visitors required to prebook to join one of the sessions.

The farm welcomes pumpkin carvers of all abilities, making this the perfect activity to get stuck into some Halloween fun and unleash your creativity.

BOSStria - The Austrian Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band Tribute Show at Stamford Corn Exchange Theatre

Describes as "probably the best Springsteen Tribute in the world," BOSStria is coming to Stamford Corn Exchange Theatre on Friday 25th October for an unforgettable night of live music.

The 7-piece band faithfully recreates Springsteen's live performances spanning over 50 years with maticulous attention to capturing the raw emotion and gritty authenticity that defined Springsteen's live shows.

A Night of West End Hits with Kerry Ellis at the Stamford Corn Exchange Theatre

Starring in some of the biggest roles on stage, from My Fair Lady to We Will Rock You, Les Misérables to Wicked, Kerry Ellis is the Queen of the West End.

Growing up admiring musical theatre icons like Liza Minnelli and Barbra Steisand, Kerry Ellis has recorded 4 studio albums and toured the world both solo and with her good friend Sir Brian May.

On Saturday 26th October, Ellis will be performing at Stamford Corn Exchange Theatre, showcasing some of the West End's biggest hits in a very intimate setting.

Halloween Trail at Belvoir Castle

For a family day out packed with spooky fun, visit Belvoir Castle's Adventure Playground where there is loads of Halloween activities to get stuck into.

Their Halloween Trail is running between Saturday 19th October and Sunday 3rd November.

Help Betty the Witch and her sisters find all the ingredients they need for their charm to protect the castle from Halloween spooks.

Thursday Night Dinner at Fox and Hounds

Fox and Hounds are serving up a range of pies this week (Fox and Hounds).

The team at The Fox & Hounds in Knossington be hosting their weekly Thursday night special on 24 October, and this week the team are serving up low braised steak and Guinness pie or pulled ham-hock, chicken & leak pie. Both pies are served with spring onion, potato & root vegetable bubble & squeak, buttered kale.
