The controversial decision to scrap Rutland's major planning document and start again has cost almost three quarters of a million pounds more than first anticipated, new papers show.

The local community radio station, Rutland and Stamford Sound, has achieved a major success by being awarded a grant from Ofcom's Community Radio Fund. To receive the award, Rutland and Stamford Sound had to compete against community radio stations based all over the UK, with only eleven grants awarded from eighty-one applications.
