Greetham Valley Robins bowls team capped another fine season by winning the Duncomb Shield on Sunday at Stamford.

The line-up of Neil Crees, Graham Jackson and Roger Clarke got past teams from Wittering, Stamford and Ketton in their qualifying group to reach the final.

They then went on to beat another team from Wittering to lift the Shield for the second time in three years.

This was on the back of finishing the season in fourth place in their Stamford and District League, a highest ever position for the side.
