Come and learn the magical art of Batik. An ancient Indonesian technique of layering melted wax and water based dyes on cotton. This workshop will guide you through designing, applying wax using traditional tools, tjantings, stamps, sponges and brushes. We will be using procion dyes, and techniques such as cracking, dipping and scraffito. Our inspiration will be the stunning gardens at Barnsdale.

Open to absolute beginners. Teenagers and Adults welcome.

Bring an apron.
