Start your pottery journey with Rutland Adult and Community Learning's 13-week Beginners course!

This course is suitable for adults aged 19+ who have never handled clay before or have a little experience and want to build upon these skills.

In this course you will cover basic hand-building skills to make simple pots. You will learn about and use glazes and other media to decorate your pots. You will learn, through doing, about the making, drying and firing processes of pottery. You will be able to try your hand at throwing on the wheel (please note we only have 2 wheels, therefore this will be facilitated, when possible, throughout the duration of the course).
