Beacon Lighting Thursday 2nd June

There is a long tradition in our country of celebrating royal festivities, such as jubilees, weddings and coronations, with the lighting of beacons. 

As part of the Platinum Jubilee weekend, there will be organised Beacon Lighting in Oakham and Uppingham. 

Across the county, beacons will be lit at 9:45pm.
