Helen Mirren stars as the Queen, in a 2013 Gielgud Theatre production directed by Stephen Daldry and also starring Edward Fox, Paul Ritter, Hayden Gwynne, Nathaniel Parker and Richard McCabe among others.

Mirren and McCabe both won Olivier awards for their performances. The play centres on an imagining of the Queen's weekly meetings with her prime ministers, from Churchill through to Cameron.
