We are currently seeking an experienced, professional Operations Manager for our Rutland based client. This is a new role to the business required by growth and involves coordinating and overseeing our clients large warehouse and logistics functions. This is a full-time, permanent position, working five days a week including alternate weekends.

The role:

• Manage the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure high standards are always maintained, setting targets and ensuring all KPIs are met

• Manage day to day general site operations, including maintenance and cleanliness

• Manage inventory and stocktaking in line with WMS requirements

• Manage the shipping process on our own fleet and via courier and monitor this to make sure they are achieved.

• Regularly review warehouse and logistics systems and efficiency

• Ensure all operations are carried out in an appropriate, cost-effective way, and safe manner

• Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices

• Manage staff rotas, training and recruitment

• Working indoors and outdoors, including a wide variety of jobs related to garden centre operations

The ideal candidate:

• Familiar with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)

• Leadership skills with experience of managing a team and being able to lead from the front.

• Must be highly computer literate, accurate and reliable

• Outstanding organisational skills with great attention to detail

• Great customer service skills

• Flexible with a can do positive attitude and happy to be hands-on when required

• Self-motivated, enthusiastic and well organised

• A good team player with a friendly personality
