Bill's Bar in Oakham will be hosting a closing party this weekend ahead of its closure to enable the next stage of their revamp.

The popular sports bar and night club will be rebranding for a relaunch in April.

While much of the work has been done without needing to close the bar, the time has come for the team to complete the last of the renovations, meaning that the venue will be closed from 26 March.

As such, the team are offering £2 drinks all night to bid their customers 'goodbye for now'.

The venue is set to embrace a brand new look and a 'brand-new price point', according to Owner, Jonathan Spencer.

He said: "I'm not gonna lie, I didn't think this was going to happen, but we are finally getting there.

"Bills bar (as you know it) will close, for one last time this Saturday night!"

However, the team will be bidding customers farewell, for now, with £2 drinks all night.

The venue will see a new dance floor installed, providing a much larger space to boogy. There will also be:

  • 2 bars
  • New sound and lighting
  • Additional booth seating
  • More TVs
  • Drinks deals 7 days a week
  • Return of open open mic
  • More events, including big-name

When the venue reopens, food will be available to purchase in house, with the support of the sister venue, The Angler, Oakham. On the menu will be Bad Dogz, burgers, chips and more.

The bar is scheduled to reopen on Thursday 6 April.
