The brother of Oakham stabbing victim Emma Wolfenden has announced her sad death on social media.

Emma Wolfenden, 36, was attacked at her home in Bullfinch Close, Oakham, in January and fought a brave recovery at Queens Medial Centre, Nottingham, before being allowed home.

Brother Charles Wolfenden shared Emma's progress on social media , as previous reported by Nub News.

On Wednesday night, he announced: "It is in utter disbelief that I must announce the death of my beautiful baby sister Emma Wolfenden , who passed away suddenly this afternoon at home. Words can't cover the loss we are now all feeling. You will always be in our hearts. Please respect that this has been a shock to the family and refrain from questions. Rest Emma, rest sister xxxxx â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸"

Yesterday, Leicestershire Police reported how East Midlands Ambulance Service went to an address in Bullfinch Close, Oakham, where they said a woman in her 30s was unwell., as previously reported by Nub News.

The police statement said: "Officers attended the address and despite the efforts of paramedics at the scene, the woman passed away.

"Her death is currently being treated as unexplained while further enquiries are being carried out surrounding the circumstances."
