Cancer Research UK looking for volunteers to support their brand new Pretty Muddy event at Rutland Showground this June

he first ever Pretty Muddy Race at Rutland Show Ground for Cancer Research is taking place on Saturday 21st June and the organisers are looking for a group of brilliant volunteers to help keep this event running smoothly.
The organisers are looking for Volunteer Marshals, Admin Managers and Start/Finish Volunteers to support the participants around their 5km or 10km course route.

The Pretty Muddy isn't just a fun run. Participants will be climbing over obstacles, crawling through mud and getting soaked by volunteers with super soakers and buckets of water. The event raises money for Cancer Research UK and adds an extra challenge and fun to the usual Race for Life.
Volunteer Marshals are needed to be the eyes and ears on the course, supporting the show team, offering support and encouragements, as well as having the fun job of making sure participants are extra muddy with super soakers and buckets of water.

Start/Finish Volunteers with be helping the organisers to get the start and finish lines ready, helping to set participants on their way around the course and then ensuring they get their medal, water and snack at the end of the event, whilst encouraging finishers over the line and keeping the area tidy and safe.
Admin Managers will be part of the central hub for participants questions, replacement running numbers and on-the-day signups.
All volunteers will be fully briefed on the day.
If you want to sign up, submit your application to volunteer on the volunteer sign up page and, if you have a preferred role, include that in the comments and they will do their best to accommodate this.
