Two more confirmed cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Rutland, according to official government figures.

Public Health England this afternoon reported an increase of people tested positive with the virus increasing from 13 to 15.

The figures, however, do not include cases at care homes or domestic homes.

And as previously reported , the figures are based on where the patients come from, not where they are being treated.

Meanwhile, five more deaths of people with coronavirus have been reported in Lincolnshire today.

The United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust said the fatalities brough the number of deaths at its hospitals to 91.

A statement said :"The patients were three women aged 67, 69 and 85, and two men aged 58 and 76. All had underlying health conditions."

There were no deaths reported today at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust hospitals.

Altogether, this puts the overall total of deaths in the wider county to 143.

Nationally, 684 fatalities were reported across the UK today, pushing the death toll to 19,506.

NHS England, which records confirmed cases in hospitals, reported 143,464 cases of coronavirus, an increase of 5,386 on yesterday.

Across the region, Leicestershire reported an increase in case numbers from 776 to 802.

Lincolnshire saw its number of cases rise from 712 to 725.

North East Lincolnshire saw its numbers increase from 109 to 114.

North Lincolnshire saw an increase from 244 to 185.

Peterborough saw its numbers rise from 171 to 185.

The figures do not include cases at home or in care homes.

The North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the hospitals at Stamford, Peterborough City and Hinchingbrooke, did not update its numbers again today.

But on Monday it said, the number of deaths at Peterborough City had increased from 26 to 43 compared to a week ago.

The equivalent figures for Hinchingbrooke were 19 rising to 30 over the same period.
