Oakham's Costa Coffee will be the next Oakham shop to close down.

Yesterday, 29 August, it was revealed that Rutland Refill, a community interest company, coffee shop, deli and grocery store, will be closing on 23 September.

This followed the announcement that the team behind the nation-wide Wilko brand failed to find a buyer, meaning that stores and jobs across the country could be gone in a matter of weeks.

However, Oakham's newest bakery, Butterwick, will be opening on Oakham High Street soon - with work well underway to transform the former home of Fat Face into the luxury bakery.

Now, Costa Coffee will be joining the long list of shops that have closed in the area over the last year, including The Waffle Bowl and Colemans.

The Church Street Costa Coffee will be closing on 14 September 2023.

However, Oakham will still have the Costa Drive Thru, which opened on Lands' End Way in September 2022.
