The planning application submitted by McDonalds to build a new fast-food restaurant in Oakham is to be decided next month.

More than seven months after being submitted by the chain, Rutland County Council's planning and licensing committee will consider the application on Tuesday, 14 January.

The committee had delegated powers and will make the final decision on whether the application get the green light or not.

The meeting is being held in public and will take place in the main Council Chamber at Rutland County Council's Catmose offices, starting at 6.00pm.

The agenda and reports for the meeting will be published on Monday, 6 January 2020 and can be viewed online by clicking the red button below.

If approved, the Oakham McDonald's restaurant with drive-thru and parking - planned for a large area of underdeveloped land at Hawkesmead Business Estate, off Lands End Way - will be the first in Rutland.

The proposed restaurant would create at least 65 new jobs.
