Empingham Medical Centre have welcomed a new GP to their practice this week.

Amid continued frustration for Rutland residents that more houses are being built than local amenities can handle, users of Empingham Medical Centre will be relieved to know that a new GP is joining the team this month.

Dr Sharon Brackenbury is the new GP and her arrival follows the appointment of new GP Partner Dr Dave Steadman in August 2022.

The team shared on their social media: "Welcome to our new Salaried GP, Dr Sharon Brackenbury.

"She has been working in practices in Peterborough for the last 14 years, this has included primary care roles in mental health, diabetes care and medical student training. She is delighted to be joining Empingham Medical Centre."

Other changes to the Empingham team included the departure of Dr Alison Guthrie at the end of September 2022. Read more here.

Welcome to Dr Brackenbury.
