Rutland residents can now have their say in public transport in and around the county.

Rutland County Council are seeking feedback on local transport as they get ready for their transport network review, considering where routes and connections can be improved across the county.

This follows the announcement earlier this year that Rutland will get a 'transport hub' as part of the Levelling Up bid win shared by Rutland County Council and Melton Borough Council.

Read more about this proposal here.

For now, the council are looking at how networks can be altered and improved, and are looking for your feedback.

Rutland County Council's Transport Team's next mobile drop-in sessions are being held on Thursday 29 June, and will give residents the opportunity to have their say on public transport in the area.

The drop in sessions on Thursday 29 June will be held at:

  • Barrowden 10.00 am – 10.30 am (Main Street by the Exeter Arms)
  • Morcott 11.00 am – 11.30 am (High Street bus shelter by Willoughby Road)
  • Glaston 12.00 pm – 12.30 pm (Outside the Old Pheasant)
  • Bisbrooke 1.00 pm- 1.30 pm (junction of Glaston Road and Church Lane)

All feedback will help towards the work taking place around the transport network review. Anyone can call in and have a chat to share ideas on local public transport.

For further information please contact the Transport Team at [email protected] or telephone 01572 758138.
