Oakham Baptist Church turns 250 this month, and the team have announced that they will be celebrating with a party in Cutts Close on 28 May.

This Sunday, the team from Oakham Baptist Church will be celebrating 250 years of work within the community, and everyone is welcome.

On top of food and drink stalls, crafts, a bouncy castle and activities, the event will also host performances from local bands.

At 12pm, Stelify Music will be hitting the stage. Stellify are a piano and vocal duo based in Rutland, made up of Anna Hughes and Harriet Bryan. They specialise in beautiful two-part harmonies with stripped-back piano accompaniment and cover a range of genres, all with their own distinctive style.

Next to entertain the crowds will be Jake Wells at 1pm. The Oakham-based solo artist Jake Wells will be joining the party with his piano, guitar and dulcet tones, performing some well-known acoustic covers, together with one or two original songs.

The event will begin with an open air service at 11am, with celebrations kicking off at 12pm.

The party will be open to all and free to attend.
