A local pub, The Plough in Greetham, have begun serving a weekday lunchtime special for only £5.99.

The team shared on their social media: "With our offers proving to be so popular, we have introduced an offer for every day of the week at lunchtime. The meal will change each day and be announced on Facebook."

This follows a successful end to 2022, when the pub accepted the Pub of the Season Award by the Rutland-based branch of Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).

Starting on Monday 30 January, the team kicked-off this offer by serving chicken breast in a giant Yorkshire pudding along with potatoes, seasonal vegetables and homemade gravy.

Today, Tuesday 31 January from 12 - 2pm, the meal will be brie and red onion quiche served with salad and new potatoes or with chips and beans.
