Oakham: Looking for something to do in Rutland and nearby this weekend?

With the promise of glorious sunshine today and the rest of the Bank Holiday Weekend set forecast to remain dry, you might be wanting something to do, an idea of an event or attraction to visit.

Here's ia run down of some of things going on this weekend and Tuesday.

This afternoon sees the return of the Caldecott Village Fete.

Today sees the start of the Rutland Jigsaw Festival.

An earlier round of Bank Holiday Weekend events included the following:

  • Also running for the entirety of the bank holiday weekend is the Grainstore Brewery's 21st Annual Rutland Beer Festival.

Whissendine Flower Festival starts today and runs until Monday.

  • Oakham Town Council's Mini Music Festival is on Cutts Close Park on Sunday the 29th and Monday the 30th.

For something a little different, a trip to Stamford should be lovely for the Stamford Diversity Festival.

And if you like bats, go to Egleton Church on Tuesday for a fundraiser with a difference.

Whatever you decide to do, do something and have fun, make the most of England's smallest county and what it and its neighbours have to offer!
