A Yamaha YZF450 has been stolen from a home in Edith Weston this Christmas.

On Tuesday the 21st of December, a Yamaha YZF450 motocross bike was stolen from the home of Mr and Mrs Leyshon in Severn Crescent, Edith Weston.

Stefanie Leyshon estimates that the bike was stolen in the early hours, between midnight and 08:00am.

She told us that, "The thieves had a van, came in through our back gate, unscrewed the door, lifted the bike and carried it to the van and took it."

The bike had a disc lock alarm fitted; as such this theft would have been as challenging as Stefanie recounts.

Stefanie said, "This bike was a wedding and birthday present to my husband and so has a great sentimental value. He only had the bike for four months and we are both serving members of the military, living in what we thought was a safe estate. I wanted him to have something for himself, something to take pride and joy in."

She added that, "I would like to offer a substantial cash reward for any information leading to the whereabouts of his bike."

Stefanie has asked that if anyone has any CCTV footage, saw or heard anything on that evening, or has any information that may help them relocate the bike to please call or message her on 07961005542.

It would be wonderful to see the pair reunited with the bike in time for Christmas, but they are keen for the bike to be made unsellable assuming that cannot happen. They are asking local people to spread the word about this theft, firstly to ensure that the thieves struggle to sell the bike, and secondly to ensure that this does not happen to anyone else.

Stay safe this Christmas.
